Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law Talk Superhero Movies

The actors talk about Sherlock Homes, Watchmen, and Iron Man 2. That’s right, we called Sherlock Holmes a Superhero movie. Read on!

The actors recently sat down for an interview with MTV News to promote the upcoming Sherlock Holmes:

"Oh, it’s going to be great," said Downey of "Iron Man 2," only to remark that a widely disseminated quote in which he compares Sherlock Holmes to a superhero didn’t actually come from him. However, Law said he might want to take credit for the quote anyways.

"[Sherlock Holmes is a] Batman kind of superhero," said Law. "[It’s] his brilliance and his unique perception of the world that make him superhuman."

Law also talks about his Rorschach tattoo:

"[The tattoo is] 20 years old — that’s how ahead of the game I was," said Law. "I’m going to have to get it covered now that the movie’s been done."

And Downey, of course, touches on Iron Man 2:

I’m just thinking about trying to make the best version we can of the next installment," he explained. And when it comes to "Iron Man 3" or "The Avengers," he simply said, "I honestly could not care less about that right now."
