Batman #136 – We admire the path DC Comics is taking here. DC says this Batman story will be the beginning of a new era for the character. Yes, the fanfare of many variant covers, but not starting from a number one issue is admirable. No need for that, just continue the story. Maybe the big two are finally going to turn that corner? Nah, that won’t happen anytime soon. But until then, enjoy the start of “the future of Batman” this week.
Star Wars #35 – The first full appearance of Dr. Cuata. He even appears on his first cover as well this week.
The Invincible Iron Man #7 – In this issue, Tony Starks introduces us to a new armor he’s building. Not too sure if it has anything to do with the Iron Man Sentinels’ first appearance in X-Men #23. The Iron Man Sentinels appear on the cover too. That blast Cyclopes is delivering though, yikes.
The Ambassadors #6 – We’ve stayed with this Mark Millar series throughout the entire series. Recommending each and every new release. Now we get the first appearance cover of the entire team. When will this comic make it to the small screen or the big screen is the question. A stellar story and premise.
Deadpool Badder Blood #1 – A massive amount of first appearances will occur throughout this series. Rob Liefeld is leading the way here as writer/artist, with some assistance from writer Chris Sims. Liefeld says that Deadpool doesn’t really have a rogues gallery and this comic series should clear that all up. First up is a new character named Shatterstorm. This series will be so much fun!
The Flash #800 – Just as Batman begins his new future, so does the Flash. A who’s who in the comic creator community lend their hands and minds to create this book.

Loki #1 – A new mini-series from writer Dan Watters and artist German Peralta. Marvel promises first appearances throughout. You should pick up this series, it’s going to be a good one. Oh yes, almost forgot, a Frank Miller variant cover as well. We’ll take one of those please, thank you.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vs. Street Fighter #1 – Who you got? We love the matchup here. From IDW, writer Paul Allor and artist Ariel Medel bring the goods. Let’s go….FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
In Hell We Fight! #1 – New horror/monster/demons and adventure series from Image Comics. Writer John Layman and artist Jok. Yes, we’re on board.
Star Wars Return Of The Jedi – Empire #1 – This Star Wars comic is the equivalent of Marvel’s “What If” stories within their superhero universe. The question asked here is “What would you do if the Empire took over?” Guess there would be a bit of chaos, we presume. Maybe not. Writer Jody Houser will answer the call (question) and Jethro Morales will provide the art.
X-Men Before The Fall – Mutant First Strike #1 – New X story from writer Steve Orlando and artist Valentina Pinti.
