Welcome to the InvestComics Hot Picks for new comic releases on 3-13-13

Below you will find the first of many (when I have time to render and release them!) video’s from myself and Erick Marquez. The show is called The Broker & The Artist. Erick and I talk about various topics within the area of comic books and
entertainment. This first episode *The Comic Con Survival Guide* is dedicated to the beginning of the comic book convention season. If you have been to shows, then you may know a lot of what we speak of. Maybe there are some tips
you weren’t aware of, so watch on! If you have never been to a show, then you truly need to take a look at this video! If you’d like to add to the survival list, don’t hesitate to leave a comment on the InvestComics YouTube page. Any input that would help anyone out would be great. Happy watching!

This week the successful TBS show King of the Nerds aired its finale. Celeste Anderson was crowned the KING! Great job Celeste! InvestComics has some close ties with the King show and originally caught up with hosts Robert Carridane and Curtis Armstrong at the New York Comic Con. The audio was not that good, but I managed to salvage a good question out of the video. You can watch that right HERE. After the finale this past Thursday, InvestComics got the go ahead to interview
Celeste the very next day! So Shaun Cobble, Kirstie Cobble and Andy Partridge interviewed Celeste on Breaking the 4th Wall. The interview was fantastic and not only do you get Celeste, but you get a complete recap of the King of the Nerds season 1 from Shaun and Andy! You must check out this podcast! Click right HERE to listen now! Special thanks to TBS for giving MegaConInvestComics the opportunity to have Celeste on.

MegaCon is upon us once again. Boy does this show come quickly every year! Once again, InvestComics will be there and will be making its rounds to various locations throughout. Look for coverage on the InvestComics website. Also check out the
InvestComics Facebook page for LIVE pictures from the show. If you have not yet LIKED the InvestComics Facebook page (why not?!?) then click HERE to not miss a beat from InvestComics shooting out pictures from MegaCon!

Okay enough chit-chat; let’s get to the Hot Picks list. Very short list this week…..

The main focus this week will be Batman (2011 2nd Series) #18. This comic features guest artist, (and what a guest it is!) Andy Kubert. Of course this isn’t the first time Andy has drawn Batman, so what would be his earliest work on Bats? Check out the DC’s Batman versus Predator #1 from 1991, here you will find Andy Kubert alongside writer Dave Gibbons in this overprinted comic. Hey it was 1991, what do you expect? Although this comic could be found anywhere you look on the planet, it’s still an awesome comic to check out and own.

Staying on topic with Batman, DC promises “the story of the year” in Batman and Robin (2011 2nd Series) #18. Best check that out fans.

Marvel Comics seems to have that Wolverine fever again. Remember when Wolverine appeared in every comic book in the Marvel Universe? Kind of like Deadpool does now. Well this week the comic collector will get not one, but 2 number one Wolverine issues this week. How about some spacing out Marvel? Wolverine (2013 4th Series) #1 goes for its fourth number one issue, while Ultimate Wolverine (2013) #1 goes for its first. We all know that Marvel will announce big sell outs with second prints arriving and really start the hyperbole rolling here, but don’t get too caught up in the collector/investment side of it. Nothing will hold here.

What can possibly be in more of a holding pattern are these number one issues heading our way, must check these out……Aliens vs Parker (2013 Boom) #1, Sledgehammer 44 (2013 Dark Horse) #1, Triggergirl 6 (2013 Image) #1, Bad Kids Go to Hell (2013 Antarctic Press) Volume 2 #1, and Doctor Who fans rejoice; Doctor Who Classics (2013 IDW Series 6) #1.

Don’t forget to LIKE the InvestComics Facebook page to check out some LIVE pictures from MegaCon this coming weekend.
