Spider-Gwen Gwenverse #1 – Whenever a new universe from the big two is created, it’s always a good time to jump in and check things out. Get in on the ground floor. Especially in today’s modern market. There are a ton of variant covers with this new release and it’s hard to keep up. The new Gwenverse Universe here will introduce a bunch of new Gwen’s in various hero costumes as that said person. Gwen-Thor, Gwen-Cap, Gwen-Nova, etc. The idea here for Disney is to hit on a Gwen crossover character or two or three, that wows fans enough to want more more more! Once that happens, spin-offs galore will happen. The solo books and the rumored cartoon appearances will all occur. As a collector, get ahead of this train. The possible money train awaits within the Gwenverse Universe. Be aware of the covers too. A popular new Gwen character may appear on a cover and not show up until later. Chop chop, do your homework.
Batgirls #4 – The first appearance of a new villain appears on the cover, Spellbinder.
Captain Carter #1 – A new hero rises, Captain Carter! This will be a popular series from the outset. Written by Derek Landy and drawn by Angel Unzueta.
Little Monsters #1 – By the time you read this sentence, this comic will be…..sold……out. See, we were right. A new horror series with vampires and young adults from Image Comics. Written by creative star Jeff Lemire and drawn by creative star Dustin Nguyen.
Thor #23 – Superstar writer Donny Cates wraps up his latest hit storyline; God Of Hammers. Always expect the unexpected from Cates.

Punisher #1 – After a long absence from the Marvel Comics scene, a new Punisher series from Jason Aaron (writer), and artists Jesus Saiz and Paul Azaceta will arrive this Wednesday. The series comes without its controversy. not because of the Punisher skull, but because of the NEW Punisher skull. To elevate the controversy over police officers wearing the skull as a symbol of “authority” or “punishment”, Disney has decided to change the Punisher skull into something more “acceptable?” We’re not even sure if that’s even possible, but the higher-ups are going all-in on this. Another non-friendly fan move will be taking Frank Castle’s favorite toys away from him (guns) and replacing them with swords. Will any of this stick in the long run? That’s a good question. We say no. Disney will eventually revert back to the original Punisher to a big fanfare “Frank is Back!” type of marketing plan to sell a new Punisher series. You’ll see, it’ll happen. Money always wins, swords don’t.
Women Of Marvel #1 – Six out of the fifteen comics featured this week are female-driven. That says most of what you need to know about the marketing of the comic book industry today. A strong female character equals money. Some of the top talents in the industry lend a hand here and deliver some great stories starring, you guessed it, the female hero. Always look for a possible first appearance in these books.
Spawn #327 – A first appearance may happen here. Open the comic and thumb through it at your local shop. Get told not to do that, but look through quick enough to see if a 1st does happen. And Todd McFarlane pays homage to himself once again with a Spider-Man #1 cover swipe. It’s definitely not the first time he’s done this. It most certainly will not be the last.
Han Solo & Chewbacca #1 – Marvel premieres another new Star Wars comic. This time fans will follow the thievery of Han and Chewy within the timeline before Episode IV. With Charles Soule writing, this is a definite pick-up. Art from Steven Cummings.
We Live Age Of The Palladions #1 – New, from AfterShock Comics. Writers Inaki (also artist) and Roy Miranda.

Hit Me #1 – New crime-thriller series from Artist, Writers & Artisans comics.
I Am Batman #7 – A possible first appearance here.
The Kill Lock The Artisan Wraith #1 – New sci-fi comic from IDW.
Naomi Season Two #1 – We gave you a heads up on the Naomi character when she first appeared. Telling y’all to watch out for this one. We were right, again. Here, we learn more about the Naomi character. This coming from the original creative team; Brian Michael Bendis, David F Walker, and Jamal Campbell.
Radiant Red #1 – From the hit series of Radiant black comes Radiant Red. New color, but new hero.
