Iron Man 3 Set for Summer 2013

As Iron Man 2 starts bringing in the cash on it’s US opening weekend, Marvel confirms a date for Iron Man 3!

Marvel Studios head Kevin Fiege confirmed that the threequel will be in theaters in the summer of 2013, a year after the Avengers movie, which will combine the Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America franchises, hits the theaters. The Marvel Avengers movie schedule is looking like this:

2011
May 6 – Thor
July 22 – Captain America: The First Avenger

2012
May 4 – The Avengers

2013
Iron Man 3

Robert Downey Jr. is, of course, signed on for the role in both Avengers and Iron Man 3.
