Jeremy Renner is Hawkeye?!
More casting news from the Thor movie brings the possiblity of Jeremy Renner for a Hawkeye cameo, and eventual Avengers casting!
A part in Sylvian White’s adaptation of The Losers never panned out for Jeremy Renner, but in a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the Hurt Locker actor revealed that he has been approached by Marvel Studios about appearing in a cameo role at the end of the upcoming Thor movie, similar to the Samuel L. Jackson appearance as Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man.
"Hawkeye could be interesting," he told them. "They’re going to send me some stuff on it, see what it is, but I think they’re pretty awesome, trying to make superhero movies almost plausible and not just some fantasy thing."
Though this does not indicate a definite casting, it does at least confirm that Marvel is looking for someone for the part, and thus that Hawkeye will definitely a part of the upcoming Avengers movie. Stay tuned archer fans!
