Last Airbender Converts to 3D
Anyone sensing a trend here? M. Knight Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender is jumping on the Avatar bandwagon!
Following up on the announcement that Sony’s Green Hornet would be converting to 3D, Paramount announced that The Last Airbender would also be taking advantage of conversion technology. However, unlike Green Hornet, Airbender will hang onto it’s July 2nd release date. The conversion technology, which is controversial to some in Hollywood who believe it is cheapening the effect, has been highly sought after of late, with studios scrambling to convert any and every possible movie to 3D after the incredible success of Avatar.
