Comics legend and Marvel founding father Stan Lee gives his blessing to the recent purchase of Marvel Entertainment by the Walt Disney Company.
Stan Lee is one of the most recognizable names in comics, co-creator of many of Marvel’s top-tier characters, and, though no longer a part of the company, still considered an honorary figurehead. So, what could be better, in the wake of one of the biggest events in recent comics history, than getting the approval of The Man himself?
Stan Lee spoke with Reuters news service in an interview about the buyout, and had this to say:
"Disney knows how to do movies. They know how to do colorful characters
and I think the fans, if they think about it, they’re going to love
He also talked about some of his motivations in creating the character Thor, who will be one of the characters to benefit from Disney’s movie-making expertise, as a Thor movie is currently in the works.
