Batman Off-World #1 – A new Bat story from writer Jason Aaron and artist Doug Mahnke will introduce a new antihero named Lone. She’s from the same race as the Starfire clan. Look for more first appearances in this soon-to-be-sold-out comic.
The Amazing Spider-Man #38 – Gang War: First Strike. This will be the last issue before “Gang War” begins.

The Holy Roller #1 – New series from Image Comics from writer Rick Remender and artist Roland Boschi. The premise of this comic you ask? Okay, you asked. How about a vigilante that walks around with a bowling bowl and smashes the bad guys in the face? That sounds so ridiculous, it’s absolutely wonderful. The Judge Dredd #1 (1983) homage cover is on point. Look for this comic to sell out as it goes to its second frame in a hurry.
Daredevil Black Armor #1 – We already covered this comic in our Marvel Spotlight post. Here is the direct copy of what we said about it; Marvel Comics is releasing a new limited series called Daredevil: Black Armor. The series is written by D.G. Chichester and illustrated by Netho Diaz and JP Mayer. It is set to be released This Wednesday. The story takes place during Chichester’s landmark ’90s run of Daredevil.
The series follows Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, as he investigates the disappearance of civilians, heroes, and villains alike into Hell’s Kitchen’s depths underground. To solve the mystery, he will have to push his extraordinary senses and armored suit beyond their limits. Throughout the saga, Daredevil will be pitted against a who’s who of Marvel’s deadliest villains including Hobgoblin, Sabretooth, and more.
The first appearance of the black armor suit was in Daredevil #321 in 1993. The suit was created by Daredevil himself when he decided he needed tougher protection while facing off against the Wild Pack. He ditched his familiar red outfit and replaced it with a black and red suit with armor plating.
If you’re a fan of Daredevil, this new series is definitely worth checking out. It promises nonstop intense action and brutal fighting in extreme 90s’ fashion.
Carnage #1 – This new story will lay down the foundation of the next big Venom story. Seems like they’re all “big” at this point. Written by Torunn Gronnbekk and drawn by Pere Perez.
