Top New Comics This Week: From Venom to He-Man, See What’s Hot
Welcome back to another wild week in the comic cosmos, courtesy of InvestComics Hot Picks. Let’s forget orderly queues and dive headfirst into the chaos of this week’s releases set for this Wednesday 5-15-24.
Rat City #2 catapults the newest Spawn, Future Spawn, back into the limelight. If you thought his debut rocked the boat, wait till you see what the second round holds. Meanwhile, speaking of Spawn, let’s talk about Monolith #1. This one’s going to give us the origin on the hulking Hellspawn in a three-issue mini-series that smells like collector bait, especially with a Todd McFarlane variant cover too. Over in the Marvel corner, Doom #1 redefines ‘hero’ with Doctor Doom doing the unthinkable: saving the Marvel Universe. With Jonathan Hickman steering this ship, strap in, this will be a wild ride indeed. What if Venom #4 is introducing the Loki Symbiote. That’s right, if Loki and Venom had a baby, this would be it.

The Blood Hunt continues to bleed out over at Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt #1. This crossover is slicing through storylines like a hot knife through butter. Ultimate X-Men‘s Peach Momoko, who’s about to drop the origin story of Maystorm in her unique style. She’s basically crafting a universe from scratch, which, let’s be honest, it’s just pretty much just another Tuesday for her. David Michelinie is bringing us back to the symbiote saga with Venom: Separation Anxiety #1. Something tells us this isn’t going to be a smooth reunion. Keep your eyes peeled in Wolverine: Madripoor Knights #4. Legendary writer Chris Claremont might just sneak a first appearance past us. Masters Of The Universe: Revolution #1 from Dark Horse Comics is here. He-Man’s back and he’s not just fighting Skeletor this time, but possibly the urge to modernize his wardrobe.
