This week’s new comic covers didn’t just show up, they came swinging battle axes, setting things on fire, dragging bloody limbs down pristine hospital hallways, and staring directly into our collecting souls. Whether it’s a nostalgic callback, a disturbing fever dream, or a subtle flex of artistic depth, these covers don’t politely ask for shelf space—they take it. And for the speculators? Yeah, these have that too. Art that speaks, poses that challenge, and enough atmosphere to make a minimalist cry. Here are our top new comic covers this week, featuring work by some of the best in the business.

Death Of The Silver Surfer #1 by Joe Quesada gives us the cosmic despair we didn’t know we needed. With Galactus looming like the god-level space horror he is, lightning flashes from his eye as the Silver Surfer bolts away. The tension is almost audible. Meanwhile, John Romita Jr. delivers a stunning sideways cover that looks like it time-traveled here from the 80s. Silver Surfer rockets straight at us with galaxies in tow. If you’re a sucker for nostalgia with a modern burn, this is it. Conan the Barbarian #21 by Dan Panosian serves up sword-swinging testosterone. Conan stands mid-battle flex with both axe and sword forward like he’s waiting for you to make the wrong move. His muscles have muscles, and if intimidation were a cover category, this would file under “maximum.” Supergirl #2 by Stanley Artgerm Lau brings the heat in more ways than one. Supergirl unzipping her jogging top to reveal the iconic “S” and some superhero-grade abs is the kind of high-gloss allure collectors chase. Expect this one to disappear off shelves faster than she can fly. Hello Darkness #11 from Miguel Mercado hits you with the kind of horror cover that sticks in your brain and messes with your sleep schedule. A creepy nurse paints the wall outside Room 11 with a severed arm like it’s no big deal. The all-white hallway amplifies the insanity. If your longbox has room for nightmares, here’s your pick. New Avengers #1 by Woo-Chul Lee crashes into the scene with a green rage monster—Skaar or Hulk, doesn’t really matter, because he’s huge, in a graveyard, and absolutely not in the mood. Rain. Lightning. Screaming. Classic drama. And for the other cover, Stephanie Hans gives us Laura Kinney, aka Wolverine, in full attack mode. She’s sprinting straight for you, claws drawn, in case you needed a reason to buy two copies.

Eddie Brock Carnage #5
from Juan Ferreyra might be the most ironic cover of the week. Carnage buried in snow with just his head, claws, and tail visible, all blood-red against the clean white? He’s not hiding. He’s hunting. The visual contrast alone makes this a cover to collect and stare at repeatedly. Magik #6 by Ramon Villalobos lets the demonic power of its title character burn front and center. Magik’s horns and flaming head aren’t just decorations—they’re a declaration. This close-up is equal parts heat, mysticism, and straight-up intimidation. No frills, all fury. Worldtr33 #15 by Fernando Blanco brings psychological horror to its peak with a blood-soaked face and the reflection of someone—probably the attacker—inside the victim’s eyeball. It’s subtle, disgusting, and brilliant. This one’s going to be a sleeper favorite for horror fans. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #9 by Juan Ferreyra is a masterclass in restraint. A black-and-white sewer setting with just the masks in color—red, blue, purple, and orange—pulls the brothers into focus like neon ghosts in the dark. This one’s not loud, but it demands your attention through pure style. Speculators take note: this cover doesn’t yell, it whispers value. King Spawn Origins Book 1 from Javier Fernandez Barranco hits heavy with chains and hellfire. King Spawn’s glowing green mouth and eye light up an already powerful stance as he looks off to the side like he’s about to handle business. This isn’t a flex—it’s a threat.
