Creator of Powerpuff Girls/Fosters Axed By Cartoon Network

On Joe Murray’s (creator of Rocko’s Modern Life and Camp Lazlo) Official Blog it was revealed that famous animator Craig McCracken (the creative mind behind the Powerpuff Girls/Foster’s School for Imaginary Friends) has been let go by Cartoon Network. More, the project McCracken was working with the network, Cartoonstitute (think What a Cartoon! from CN Past) has been canned by the network as well.

This was the entry from Joe’s blog:

  1. Sadly, Craig is no longer at Cartoon Network, and the Institute got shut down. ( the institute shutting down is not from an official Cartoon Network Source. Just what I heard. I won’t say from who, but reliable.) For CN to let Craig go is a real sign that they are going downhill fast.

    They lost an incredible talent.
