Here is a comic creator that simply goes by the name Jock. Say this name within the confines of any comic collector and their ears will perk up. Jock is a super talent that needs no help in the marketing department. The man’s work speaks for itself. In this checklist there are a lot eye candy moments, if you have other eye candy covers to share then please mention in the text area below. 2000 AD #1170 (1999) – First published work(?) From Fleetway. This was back in 1999. If there is earlier, please let us all know. Jock did a backup story in here. Pencils, Ink, and colors.
2000 AD #1203 (2000) – Here’s the first cover art published.
Hellblazer #181 (2003) – Jock’s first work outside Fleetway. This is with DC’s imprint Vertigo. Pencils, and inks.
The Losers #1 (2003) – Here is the first cover outside of Fleetway. Once again, DC’s imprint Vertigo.

The Losers #3 (2003) – A great Statue of Liberty cover.
The Losers #9 (2004) – The horizontal comic covers are usually a gratifying visual spectacle. This here is one of those times.
Batman The Legends of The Dark Knight #177 (2004) – The Jock Batman cover art era begins here. Way back in 2004. A beauty of a first too. This also happens to be the first DC work (superhero), non related to Vertigo. His “bats/signature” make an appearance on the cover. Not as predominate yet as later on, hints are here.
Batman The Legends of The Dark Knight #178 (2004) – The next issue cover features Catwoman on it. The red and black cover just pops.

Detective Comics #797 (2004) – A Batman Detective cover.

Batman Annual #25 (2006) Here Jock pays homage to Jim Aparo with this painted cover.
Scalped #1 (2007) – This series was optioned a few years ago (TV? Movie?). No news since.
Scalped #3 (2007) – Riveting.
Green Arrow #1 (2007) – Writer Andy Diggle teams with Jock on Green Arrow.

Thunderbolts #127 (2009) – Jock’s first Marvel comics work. Not many in the Marvel column with this creator. Love these because there are far and few between right now. What a ridiculously gorgeous Venom cover. Wow.

Batman Confidential #33 (2009) – This might be the first time Jock uses the “bats” as part of his “design/signature”. Looks like these are the bats he’ll use going forward if he needs them.

Daredevil #511 (2010) – Here is another rare Marvel cover from Jock and it’s a beauty.
