Star Wars War Of The Bounty Hunters Alpha #1 – A new Star Wars series starring Boba Fett. What more needs to be said here?? Okay, Star Wars guru writer Charles Soule is on the book. Steve McNiven will pencil.
Batman Fortnite Zero Point #2 – We warned fans of the premiere issue. It sold out and the spec market went a bit batty. Here’s the second issue this Wednesday. Yes, we’ll warn you again. It’s going to sell out, better get your copy early.
Heroes Reborn #1 – Marvel rehashes a popular crossover event from 1996. It worked then, will it work now? As long as something major comes of it, it will. A new hot character, a big reveal, a change in a character’s look/abilities (new costume, new powers ), etc. Any of these criteria are met and BANG, the spec market will go bonkers. The creation of interest usually creates an immediate frenzy. A flare. Remember though, a flare, It goes out eventually and quickly. It’s your job to pay attention and be on top of it. So, this Stanley Artgerm Lau variant cover (below). Is that Wonder Woman?? On a Marvel cover. Did Disney buy Warner Bros. already?
The Invincible Red Sonja #1 – It’s no secret that throughout the years, InvestComics has and still is huge fans of comic creators Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner. Two of the most humble creators you will ever meet within the comic book industry. An absolute joy to speak with and are always willing to give to their fans at shows. Please, we urge you, when the conventions start back up, visit Jimmy and Amanda at their table. You’ll walk away with the realization that there are very good-hearted people in this business. Well, with all that said, the couple that brought the Harley Quinn character to another level (movie character development level, see Suicide Squad) are about to embark on a new journey with another female lead; Red Sonja. They WILL in FACT change the whole persona of the Red Sonja character with this new series. True comic book fans already know what these two are capable of and they will pull this off. Red Sonja is about to level up to total bad-ass. Yes, the amazing Gail Simone did her thing with Red Sonja, but here comes Jimmy and Amanda! Artist Amanda Conner will NOT draw the series, she’ll team with Jimmy and write it. Moritat will illustrate the series. Look for immediate sell-outs here and a new wave of Red Sonja fans coming on board.

Stargirl Spring Break Special #1 – One of DC’s biggest writers/influencers is back for this one-shot. Geoff Johns returns to a character he created. This must have been an easy phone call. Todd Nauck will pencil.

The Immortal Hulk #46 – The homage cover here from artist Joe Bennett is on point. Yes, it’s been replicated hundreds of times, but you have to give credit when it’s done right. Of course, the Uncanny X-Men #141 (1981) cover from legend John Byrne will always be the masterpiece though. Bennett pays great homage to the original this Wednesday.
Strange Academy #10 – After InvestComics spoke the first issue up and every single issue thereafter, the aftermarket exploded regarding the early issues. We’ll keep talking this series up. It’s a well done story and it serves up well for future speculation. Creators Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos are killing it.
Eve #1 – New series from BOOM Studios. Writer Victor Lavalle and artist Jo Migyeong. There is already ramblings of a possible hit series in the making here.
Marjorie Finnegan Temporal Criminal #1 – New series from Aftershock Comics. The bad-ass Garth Ennis writes and Goran Sudzuka draws. Check out our rapid-fire Q&A with Garth Ennis right HERE from our Insta 5 post on Instagram.
Punchline And The Vaude-Villains #1 – New horror series from Hero Tomorrow Comics. Creators Ted Sikora and Donny Hadiwidjaja.
