PalmCon: The Palm Beach Comic Book and Collectibles Show is the first Palm
Beach County based comic convention of its kind in years. The convention
will take place in the 4800 square foot main hall of the American Polish
Club in Lake Worth, FL.

There has been an amazing amount of support from the local comic scene for
this one day event. All of the tables have been booked, and the hall will be
filled with many guests including artists, publishers and filmmakers. There
will be over 15 different vendors with a wide variety of merchandise. Along
with the vendors and artists, several clubs and podcasts will be represented
including the 501st Legion who produces film accurate Star Wars costumes and
props. There will be two raffles, a costume contest, and the Indie-Film
Lounge showing short films created by local filmmakers.

This event grew out of Martin T. Pierro’s love for the small hotel and mall
comic shows that were a staple of his youth. In recent years there has been
a resurgence in the interest in comic book characters so it seemed like a
perfect time to bring these types of shows back to the Palm Beach area.

Guests include – web comic artist Danielle Soloud, model/actress Amy Vitale,
Marvel and Disney artist Austin Janowsky, Image comic artist Greg
Kirkpatrick, Luther Strode artist Tradd Moore and many more.

Vendors include – Past Preset Future Comics, Otaku Comics, Scrapped Clothing
and The Fine Print Shoppe just to name a few.

The clubs and fan groups that will be in attendance are – 501st Legion, Star
Wars Grand Florida Alliance and the South Florida Browncoats.

The Nerd Nation Podcast and the Pow Wow Show will be recording live at the
event.

The Indie-Film Lounge will include films by Creature Entertainment, Jennifer
Lorenzo and Kurt Donath
