**Please, if you are a new reader or a regular reader of this article and have not seen or read the disclaimer, we urge you to read it (link provided above and tab on top of site).

NOTE. Please understand that when InvestComics releases the Hot Picks article on Thursday/Friday that many of the independent comics may not be available on Ebay yet. Most of the time, some of the more obscure titles make their way onto Ebay later on in the week or right on/at/before new comic book day on Wednesday. Be sure to check back and click the links or cover(s) to see if the books you want have been listed on Ebay. They usually show up, so be sure to check back!

Before reading ahead, we feel we need to warn you that our articles contain very harsh truths in them. Not vulgar language, just a good solid dose of honesty. They always have, they always will. If you are easily offended, cannot come to terms that other people have opinions too beside yourself and especially if you’re a fanboy, discontinue reading. Go back to the other places selling you the farm. This is NOT the place for you. We’re here to have fun and not lie to you. Thank you and enjoy!

Each week InvestComics seeks out a comic(s) on Ebay for $100 or less and then brings it to the attention of our fans. We call it IC 100 Club Pick. The idea is to get a great book at a great price. We do not own nor are we selling these comics. The comics are found by a random process. We do not know the ebay seller(s), nor are we promoting the Ebay seller. Any knowing from the Ebay seller of InvestComics or its affiliates is purely coincidental. (See disclaimer for more details).

First, we just want to ask, have you seen our exclusive interview with the president of CBCS; Mr. Steve Borock? We ask him about the recent big news surrounding CGC getting exclusive rights to the entire building at C2E2 and ECCC and not allowing CBCS to have representation of their own booth at either of those shows. See what Steve Borock has to say about this right HERE.

If you’re a collector seeking new blood in the industry, a reader looking for a new edge of storytelling, then DC has a book for you this week. New Talent Showcase #1 will ‘showcase’ some of DC’s new talent. This comic is definitely worth a look, but that $7.99 price tag may keep some away. Don’t let it deter you too much, it’s not often fans get a comic full of new talent showing off their craft. Maybe one or two or many break out and become a superstar in the industry. Maybe this is their first work. So don’t pass this one shot. DC is probably testing the market here to see if there will be more books like this in the near future. Be sure to make lots of noise at you local comic shop(s) if you want to see more down the road. The last time DC Comics had a New Talent Showcase title was in 1984. Here are some of the names associated with that series as either early work in their career or their first work.
Steve Lightle, June Brigman, Javier Saltares (Early first work; The New Talent Showcase #10 -1984), Norm Breyfogle (Early first work; The New Talent Showcase #11 – 1984), Graham Nolan (Early first work; The New Talent Showcase #14 – 1984).

Check out three DC annuals this week; Batman Annual #1 with writer Tom King and art from David Finch. This annual, as DC Comics puts it, will have a ‘showcase of top talent’ within these pages. We love Batman, we love beginnings (number one issue), love the regular creative team, and we love that there will be a load of other talent in here too. Injustice Gods Among Us Year Five Annual #1. Three separate stories going on in here. One that features fan fav Harley Quinn. She dons the cover too. Superman Annual #1; Written by Peter Tomasi and pencils by Jorge Jimenez. Guest starring the Swamp Thing.

On the coattails of the popular appearance on the Agents of Shield television show, Marvel begins an all new series starring Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider in Ghost Rider #1. We’re really digging the variant covers, but there is a solid reason to buy this comic on Wednesday. The first appearance of a new villain in a backup story. Here’s a quick fact, did you know that no solo Ghost Rider comic has ever reached issue number 100? Maybe this series bucks that trend. We’ll see.

Ivx #1 sets the wheels in motion for the upcoming comic series Inhumans vs. X-Men.
Marvel’s Deadpool Back In Black #4 Ron Lim cover sure is an eye catcher.

Black Mask Comics releases a new comic series and we all know what that means right? In case you’re a new reader or one of the few who do not know, most new Black Mask Comics sell out fairly quick and the aftermarkets love them. So this week fans get No Angel #1. Written by Eric Palicki and art from Ari Syahrazad. A story about a Hannah Gregory as a possible mistaken identity…..being a alien from space. Looks as though she takes matters into her own hands (see cover). The preview book of No Angel #1 is selling for a premium in the aftermarket. Jump on this comic. Invest wisely. Read comics.

Valiant Entertainment introduces a new member into their family this Wednesday. Savage #1 debuts the new character in his self-titled book and we think it’s going to be a warm welcome on new comic book day. With talents like writer B. Clay Moore and art by Clayton Henry and Lewis LaRosa, this comic is a no-brainer to check out. Look for early sellouts and demand bringing multiple printings down the pike.

Mask Mobile Armored Strike #1 from IDW Publishing should satisfy the need for all of the 80’s fans of the original MASK Series. The Paul Pope variant cover is stellar. A 50/1 ratio. The original DC series; MASK #1 debuted in 1985. IDW also debuts a new Transformer series; Optimus Prime #1. Looks as though an introduction may occur. Artist Kei Zama and writer John Barber bring us the action.
Revolution #5 brings everything together for the IDW universe. An important issue if fans want to see the birth of a continuity universe.
