Hellverine #6
This issue officially unleashes the first full appearance of Hell Hulk, and if that phrase alone doesn’t tickle your collector instincts, you may want to check your pulse. A demon-powered version of the Hulk enters Marvel lore here, introduced in a storyline already teetering on the edge of supernatural insanity. Written by Benjamin Percy with art from Julius Ohta, this issue expands the hell-drenched mythos with the debut of a new demon too—another fresh character likely to be overlooked unless Hell Hulk blows up in back issues. The designs alone beg for variant spotlight, and if this red-skinned, spike-covered beast sticks, collectors will be backtracking to grab this one fast.
Gwenpool #1
She’s baaaack—and she’s bringing a flamethrower to the meta-narrative. This time, Gwenpool shows up in a war-torn NYC acting more like the Punisher than the pink-suited chaos agent of past runs. Writer Cody Ziglar pairs with artist Rogê Antônio to present Gwen through a darker, almost nihilistic lens. And while the humor’s still there (it always is), it’s filtered through blood, trauma, and full-page action sequences. Guest stars include Fin Fang Foom (you read that correctly) and Jeff the Land Shark, so this book isn’t short on surreal cameos. The burning question here: are we getting a first appearance of “Dark Gwenpool”—or just a tone shift? Either way, collectors will be banking on the variants and character evolution as a potential pivot moment for her entire mythos.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #33
When Marvel decides to blend its superhero roster with high-stakes mythological warfare, things escalate fast. In this issue, Miles steps into a Herald of Anansi role—yes, the African spider-god. That in itself is a lore-expanding revelation. But things go even further with the first appearances of War-Cry, Philomelus (demigod of earth), and Pyrrah (demigoddess of water). Three mythic additions to the Marvel pantheon in one issue? That’s not just character building—that’s future event groundwork. Toss in a brawl with Ares and a cameo by Hercules, and you’ve got a deep-cut, world-expanding issue that savvy collectors should treat like a secret variant.
Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse #1
There are crossover events, and then there’s this: a storyline that rips across universes, symbiote lore, and spider-myth all at once. Here, Spider-Prowler makes his first appearance—a Spider-Verse addition that might be more than just a one-note costume swap. Alongside him, the mysterious new symbiote Yaleo shows up and could be this event’s long-tail spec win. Yaleo’s powers, motives, and visual design are all under wraps right now, but if Marvel does anything with this character post-event, this issue becomes ground zero. Don’t ignore the Web-Heart subplot either; it could be a narrative device that pays dividends in the next Spider-Verse-style saga.
Invincible Universe Battle Beast #1
If there’s one comic this week that screams collector bait, it’s this one. Battle Beast, a fan-favorite who’s barely scratched the surface of his own history, finally gets a solo story. Written by Robert Kirkman with Ryan Ottley on art duties, this comic doesn’t just give Battle Beast the spotlight—it dives deep into his past, potential rivals, and cosmic body count. But here’s the kicker: blind bag variants. Not every issue inside the blind bags will be Battle Beast content, making the chase part of the experience. Some issues might not even tie into the story at all. It’s a risky move, but if the interiors and variants click, this will be one of those launches people regret skipping.
