Titans Special #1 – The Teen Titans are on their way back. Kicking some butt and taking some names. Maybe not so much some names, but they are kicking some butt that’s for sure. This Teen Titans special is sold out and trending well on the inter-web as we speak. Rumor has it that this is the first appearance of ‘The Crush’……Lobo’s daughter. Good luck trying to find a copy someplace sitting on the shelf on new comic book Wednesday. Same as the next comic goes in this top 5, most shops are limiting the customers to just one copy. Hoarding the rest for themselves to put on the wall next week saying ‘So, yea, we got our hands on a few copies.’ Yea, sure you did.
Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur #32 – The first appearance of Princess Fisk. This first appearance has caused quite the stir. Most comic shops are limiting the book to one copy per person.
Ms.Marvel #31 – A mega surprise ending has this book selling out at Diamond.
Shadow Roads #1 – New series from Oni Press is sold out.; Writers Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt with artist A.C. Zamudio.
Bloodstrike #23 – Rob Liefeld takes a jab at himself with a first appearance cover of ‘The Pouch’.

Sentry #1 (2000)

Sentry #1 (2018)

Siege #2

The villain known as Harvester will be making his presence known in the new Deadpool series; Deadpool: Assassin #2. This version of Harvester first appeared in Scarlet Spider #3 (2012).
Marvel’s version of Superman makes his way back into the fold of the Marvel U with a new number one issue. Sentry #1 from writer Jeff Lemire and artist Aaron Kim Jacinto. This character should have been more then a B or a C lister by now but simply isn’t. Maybe this will be the time he breaks out a bit. He was quite popular back in when he debuted in Sentry #1 back in 2000. The defining moment within this character’s young life has to be in Siege #2. Sentry vs. Ares and it ended really bad for Ares. Sentry literally ripped Ares in half. Literally. See the image above of the actual ‘splash’ page spread that showed this insanity. Yes, that’s pretty bad as* and he’s back in his own comic once again. We’re team Sentry 100%.
Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur #32 introduces Princess Fisk. Sold out.
Ms. Marvel hits issue number 50 with Ms.Marvel #31. Yes, it’s 50 total issues from the previous 5 million restarts (sarcasm of course). However, this issue promises a surprise in it that’ll ‘rock Kamala’s world’. This is all according to Marvel, so don’t hold us to it.
The new Wakanda Forever: The Amazing Spider-Man #1 sees Dora Milaje teaming up with various Marvel U players. You can all guess who she’s teaming with first. Creators; Nnedi Okorafor and Alberto Alburquerque.
Jimmy Hudson will get a new codename in X-Men Blue #30. Marvel asks the question though, is he friend or foe? Pick this up and find out.
A few years ago, some rumors made its rounds about Multiple Man being played by James Franco in a film and the speculative market blew up. Since then, cooler heads have prevailed, and the aftermarket calmed its happy as* down a bit. Marvel now tries to pick up the pace again with the release of Multiple Man #1. Matthew Rosenberg and Andy MacDonald bring fans this new tale.
New all-ages comic; Marvel Superhero Adventures: Webs, Arrows, and Ants. Oh My! #1. That’s a mouthful. Jim McCann and Dario Brizuela.

Ms. Marvel #31

Teen Titans Spec #1

X-Men Blue #30

DC Comics has a hit on their hands this Wednesday. Better get this one quick if you don’t want to miss the boat. Trending already on media outlets, Teen Titans Special #1 sets up the Teen Titans for a new start and a new series of their own. Writer Adam Glass and artist Robson Rocha.
Teaming Harley Quinn and the Joker in any comic is an instant way to make heads turn. Especially when the two are at odds with each other (which is most of the time, no?). Check out Batman: Prelude To The Wedding – Harley vs. Joker #1. Creators Tim Seeley and Sami Basri. Ding ding!
Speaking of Batman, Bane: Conquest #12 brings the series to a close with an ending ‘you’ll never see coming’.

Rob Liefeld mocks himself on the cover of the Bloodstrike #23 variant. The first appearance of The Pouch. Yes, this is real. Sold out too. This is real too.
Charlie’s Angels #1 from writer John Layman and artist Joe Eisma. Those two are reason enough to check this comic out.
Vampirella: Roses For The Dead #1 Billy Tucci cover is sold out. Cry For Dawn artist Joseph Michael Linsner on this one, with writer Kristina Deak-Linsner.

Amazing Spider-Man #800Writer Dan Slott’s last Spider-Man issue after a long run. This milestone issue promises to deliver with all kinds of dips and curves as only Slott can do. Possible death, a possible intro, possible new status quo, but one thing is guaranteed here is a big dramatic going out party from Dan Slott. Many pointless variants accompany this one. Pick your favorite, but read the inside, that’s where the true treasure is delivered.
The Last Siege #1New Image comic series from writer Laudry Q. Walker and artist Justin Greenwood. The solicit states this comic as being a spaghetti western cross with Game of Thrones. Wow, this should peek the curiosity of readers.
Stabbity Bunny #5This Scout Comic series continues to roll on. Selling out and commanding everyone’s attention.
Doomsday Clock #5Doomsday Clock is back! After a few delays (not good), DC hopes to get back on track with this once HIGHLY anticipated series. One way to grab the attention of readers again is to feature the Joker on the cover of the Watchmen driven story. That’ll turn some heads.
Pestilence Story Of Satan #1Writer Frank Tieri and artist Oleg Okunev revisit the massively successful AfterShock comic Pestilence with Pestilence Story Of Satan #1. This followup will trend just as well as the first series did, because writer Frank Tieri will deliver a story that’ll rival the series before. Period.

Buy, Sell, Hold – Iron Man #55

One comic is chosen to go under the scope. What is the best course? As a speculator, is it worth buying, selling or holding?
Here are the pros and cons, YOU decide.
(Note: This article was drafted a few months ago.)

Iron Man #55 – 1973 – First appearance of Thanos & Drax
Writer: Jim Starlin & Mike Friedrich
Art: Jim Starlin
Inker: Mike Esposito
Cover Art: Jim Starlin & Joe Sinnott

PROS: Thanos is a Marvel Studios villain 11 years in the making. The studio has been planting seeds since 2008 and will have the purple giant unleash his full power in the spring of 2018 – Drax from Guardians Of The Galaxy has helped this comic along in the last couple of years – Since the debut of Thanos in 1973, the comic has steadily increased in value over the years, obviously exploding beyond speculators expectations in recent years – The steady climb throughout the years had nothing to do with Drax (PRE Guardians of the Galaxy) – A CGC 9.4 graded sold a few days ago for $1,995.95 – One of the most popular Bronze Age comics within the collectors market – Early Jim Starlin professional work – Writer/Artist Jim Starlin, essentially began the TRUE Marvel Cosmo universe with this issue – First appearances of Drax, Starfox, Blood Brothers & Mentor – A legitimate Marvel villain with strong presence on film – Drax has more staying power than Thanos (see cons) – With Disney about to finalize a deal for the rights to the Fox comic book movies, Marvel Studios may step up the game with a team-up with Thanos and Apocalypse…years from now.

CONS: According to the CGC census, there are a total of 2910 graded Iron Man #55 comics. Of that total, 829 are in near mint 9.0 and higher. Not a hard book to find in near mint condition – These totals do not reflect CBCS, as they do not have a census (yet). Which means there are probably well over 3000 of these comics graded out there. Maybe more than 900 near mint copies? – Thanos will appear in Infinity War and most likely in the next movie thereafter(?) That’s it folks. He’ll probably appear in TWO movies and Thanos is done (for now?). IF Thanos is used in more Marvel movies after these two(?), Thanos will become the modern-day Darth Vader, in which this particular con becomes a pro – Nothing is pointing in the direction that Thanos will be a main adversary within the Marvel Universe moving forward after Infinity War and after. Marvel loves to “move things along” as far as their villains go. Our speculation here is Thanos is either a one and done or a two and done – Does ONE or TWO major movie appearances warrant an (unsigned) Iron Man comic to fetch almost $2000? – Will the Drax character (help) really hold this comic at these levels? Although a character that may be around a bit longer than Thanos, the market may freeze up a bit once speculators realize Thanos is done – Marvel is rumored to really change things up after this phase is up. Possibly moving away from the cosmos – When the correction hits the market, this may take a hit due to the abundance availability of this comic and its “easy to find” near mint copies.
